I have a OpenIndiana vm and 5 virtual disks ready to attach.  I'm a total noob to solaris and when I list the devices in /dev/dsk there are a load of them.  What is the naming convention, or how do I discern what is what?

I have
c0t0d0s0 through c0t0d0s15
c0t0d0p0 through c0t0d0p
etc

I tried to create a zpool with the shortest names c0t2d0 etc.  just a guess and I get can't open , no such device in /dev/dsk

My apologies for what is probably a brain damaged question, but you have to start somewhere. :)
