I'm not sure that's a correct interpretation either.

Right now, I believe the emphasis is on getting things self-hosting as
quick as possible.  So projects not in line with that goal are simply
_for the moment_ less of a priority.  I say go for it, but just
understand it might be a little while before someone can get to it.

I think the only things that are really 'not wanted' would be things
that break binary compatibility (and I don't think this would fall
under that umbrella).   In fact (with that one restriction), the more
useful things we create, the more pressure it puts on certain parties
to interact with us.
