[illumos-Developer] Illumos not compiling

Hi,
Think I've solved my mystery (fingers crossed, testing at the moment), I've
been cut and pasting the "Installing required packages" pfexec pkg install
-v block from the website, for whatever reason (I haven't figured out yet
but possible the ssh sending of pasted text) it managed to miss a few of the
lines :( Leaving me without the correct installed requirements even tho I'd
been following (I thought) the guide on the website.
So if anybody else encounters things like this, make sure all the required
packages are installed even if you think you've installed them.
Thanks for the help,
Deano

Hi,
Running dmake setup hasn't made any difference.
The first error is,
../sources/ldap/ssldap/clientinit.c:39:18: nspr.h: No such file or directory
As I believe this file is a piece of netscape I'm assuming ldap expects it
to be installed and in my include path...
Is it a normal part of illumos and if so where is it on most people systems
(so far grep hasn't found it under my illumos-gate directory).
Another solution for me, is I'm only really interested in device and file
system development onto my existing OI kernel, is it possible to compile
just those bits?
Thanks for any help,
Deano

Hi,

I've done it twice and got the same result, I pretty sure I ran dmake setup,
but with a long list of instructions I guess I might have missed it. I'll
have another go and make sure I do.
I've uploaded the log to jsplatform.info/public/nightly.log Its pretty big
(81 MiB) so if there any particular part, I can try cutting that out to
reduce your download.
Thanks for your help :)
