That would be nice. Or maybe even better, if we could wget something
like smtp.oracle.com and pop.oracle.com .

And you are right: It takes forever.
Ellison was partially right, when he criticized Jonathan Schwartz´s
we_also_pay_you_for_just_blogging-approach.

It is a highly valuable intellectual property contained in these
blogs. And nobody paid Sun a Cent for it. Other corporations may even
have stolen thougts, ideas and other forms of knowledge.
