Hi,

Here's another webrev, hg pbchk, hg outgoing -v  and mail_msg:

Making colorstr a copy of the static buffer or environment string
before modification also fixes an invalid free().

exit(2) is to be consistent with allocation failure handling used in
the rest of the program, as is the use of the "nomocore" variable.


I tested this with Sun Studio 12.1 as well.
